Fearing fresh infiltration, search operation continues in Mendhar areas | KNO

Poonch, June 05 (KNO): The search operation continued for the fifth straight day on Friday in parts of Mendhar in Poonch district. Official sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that teams of Army and police jointly carried out searches in and around seven villages of Mendhar sub division that include Mankote area as well. “There is some suspicion in quarters of intelligence agencies that militants made an attempt to infiltrate from Line of Control in Krishna Ghati sector and to check it, besides area sanitization and dominance, forces launched searches in parts of Mendhar on Monday morning,” sources said. Sources said that the searches are going on in the area since Monday while more forces were rushed on Thursday afternoon—(KNO)
